...Is that a birthday candle? (Seth)

Jezz was standing outside the door to her boyfriend's apartment, slightly confused but still quite happy she was there. He'd invited her over for... some reason, she didn't know what yet, though she had the sneaking suspicion he was going to attempt something romantic. She smiled warmly to herself, chuckling.

Crossing her extra arms behind her back, she knocked on the door with her primary left one and waited, hoping he didn't trip over anything or crash into a wall or something that was normal for him to do. She didn't like to see him hurt, even if he was more durable then your average human.

Seth was just putting the finishing touches on what was sure to be his first - and probably only - attempt at being romantic. Because God knew he wasn't very good at it. But at least he tried, unlike most men. Most men just grabbed a beer, plopped down on a recliner, and watched sports for twenty hours a day.

He didn't like beer, and fifteen of those hours could be spent doing something much more...entertaining.

So, when Jazz knocked, he quickly checked everything over. Candles were out and lit, the table was set - granted, the food was Chinese, but still - and everything was perfect. With that, he started running towards the door. He stumbled over a broom in the middle of the hallway, but manage to right himself.

Then he opened the door.

"Hey, Jazz."

Jazz smiled wider as he opened the door, giving him a quick, four-armed hug and a peck on the cheek. "Hey, Seth," she murmured, hazel eyes shimmering. As much as she tried to hide her affection, sometimes it managed to slip out unguarded. "So, what was the invitation for? Or did you just want to see me?"

The Lesser glanced around the apartment, and had to cover her mouth from giggling- not in a mean spirited way, mind you, in an amused way- at what he'd done. "Baby..." she said, walking over to the table and picking up a candle shaped like a large 5. "Is... is this a birthday candle?"

She reached up, pecking his cheek, and Seth's eyes brightened. He wrapped his arms around her, drawing her close so he could peck her lips. He placed her down, letting her enter his apartment, and shut the door behind her.

"I have a reason behind it, I promise, love," he murmured, watching her as she moved. She was beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. And... Oh, great. She had discovered the candle. His face turned beet red, and he moved to grab it.

"No!" He said, snorting slightly. He glanced down at the candle, then seemed to pout as he admitted,

"Yes."

Jezebel couldn't help but giggle then, especially at the face he made. He was just so... "You're adorable, you know that?" she said, grinning at him. The Lesser leaned forward, giving him a quick kiss on the lips.

"Thank you," she murmured, becoming serious once again. "I really appreciate it, Seth. It's really sweet of you, hun..." Her smile became warm once again, and she tilted her head to the side slightly. She didn't know what she'd do without him, but she probably wouldn't be as happy a person as she was today.

Her lips touched his, and instantly he brightened up again. He wrapped his arms around her for a second time, tugging her to him. A smile played on his lips, and he touched his lips to her forehead. Inhaled her scent.

"You hungry? I tried to cook, but, um... I kinda burned everything. So I ended up ordering Chinese food." He gave her a rather pitiful look, but then it brightened up when he placed her down. Seth started towards the table, but not before taking her primary right hand with his left.

He pulled out the chair for her.

Jezebel chuckled. Yes, that was her Seth alright. He would burn cereal, given the chance. She gave him a nod, a warm sort of feeling tugging at her chest when he took her right hand- her normal right hand- in his. She was cared for, that was something definate.

"I think I am hungry," she said to him, eyes warm. "And it's alright; I was actually sorta craving Chinese." The Lesser gave him a wink to let it was alright, sitting down. "Thank you... again."

"Glad to hear it," He murmured, pushing her chair in. Leaning down, he gave the top of her head a little peck before moving to his seat. Once he was sitting, he poured a glass of wine each and offered hers out.

There was a permentant smile on his face, as if he just couldn't stop celebrating the fact that he was there, in her company, and they were together. He loved her, more than he cared to admit.
