The Wolf was not happy.
She turned towards her assailants, golden-yellow eyes glinting wildly as she began the Change, muscles and sinew and fur replacing all her human weakness and leaving her an unstoppable force. Some of the men ran, others simply shouted and took up defensive positions.
No, no way they could take her... She wasn't going to let them.
With a roar that shook the buildings, she charged before everything went black...
"Augh... my head..." The cold mansion floor was not a welcome feeling for a girl who was sure she'd just gone through the full moon just again, though she wondered why exactly she was on the floor and not upstairs in her giant bedroom with the flatscreen. The Wolf usually remembered to carry her back there, through the window... it usually wasn't this careless. Luckily, it was early, and the staff hadn't woken up and found her yet. She'd just write the fur off as something one of the dogs had done...
Hannah stood up shakily and sighed, making her way towards the kitchen in hopes for some burned toast or something to make the hangover-like headache disappear. She was surprised, though, when she found the fridge not near as well-stocked as it normally was. And... where were her yogurt cups? "Hey, Raymond, where're my-- Ray?"
There were no staff in the kitchen.
"Raymond? ...Eddie? A... anyone?!" It was starting to come back to her, that night. The blackout. Everything was tumbling down and she was remembering, remembering what happened to those who were captured. Remembering why she had been so upset that night.
"No, no, no... No, this can't be happening, I can't be here, I can't..." Hannah's voice got shriller and louder until it raised to a scream as she dropped to her knees and crumpled on the floor. "NOOOOO! NO, GODDAMN IT, NO!"

Ty slept peacefully, used to the mansion being empty by now. Then...he heard a faint voice, but he wrote it off as him hearing things. Ty never was all that sharp in the mornings.
""NOOOOO! NO, GODDAMN IT, NO!""
Ty leaped out of bed, grabbed a pistol and ran out of the room. Without missing a beat, he slid down the railing and sped to the kitchen, holding the gun. "What the fuck is goin--" He blinked. "Hannah?!? What the hell?" He put the gun down, not noticing all he had on was a pair of black boxers with dark red snakes on them.

Hannah's wolf-like ears pinned back, tail bristling as she whipped around and stared up in fear at her older brother. A phantom, a ghost, he has to be... ...but she remembered where she was. He was real. She had her brother back, at a horrible price, and the Wolf did not like that. It wanted out, to run and tear apart the guards then run some more.
Suicide.
She backed away, hugging her knees as her now-yellow eyes began to pour tears. "Ty, I..." Hannah sniffed loudly and began to rock back and forth. "I don't know how it happened, I was being careful, I stayed indoors and never left, but the damned moon, the god-damned moon..."

He chuckled at her babbling, not really understanding the situation. "I remember the first time I got shot with an N-67 Tranq," he mused. "Not fun. Took three of the things. Right in the butt. I was talking jibberish for half a day. At least you're speaking English. Anyways..."
He shook his head, still groggy, and walked over to the coffee pot, used to making it himself by now. "You alright, sis? Never thought I'd see you again. Oh, by the way...Welcome to Adanac. When they say to stick something where the sun don't shine, this is where it's stuck."

Hannah frowned slightly, shuddering. "I'm not babbling..." she whispered in an almost offended voice. Still, she was beginning to come back to her senses after the initial shock, and she stood, shivering. It wasn't really cold... it was just that her body was very, very warm.
"I'm okay, I mean..." She shrugged. "I went werewolf and probably killed a few people and now I'm trapped in a containment facility... which Wolfy doesn't like... but I'm okay." The girl tried to smile at him, but it came out somewhat mangled, more like a grimace. "Can I have some coffee, too?"

He smiled and fixed her a cup of coffee, then poured himself a cup. "Sorry about that." He set the cup down, went upstairs, then got dressed before coming down again. He sipped his coffee. "So, long time no see," he said trying to make casual conversation.
"Hmm...wolf, huh? Interesting."

"Yeah," she murmured, gingerly sipping from her cup. She didn't want to get burned and go wolf on accident; it had happened once or twice and it wasn't fun at all. "I'm sorry I never told you, bro, but ever since I was twelve... yeah."
Hannah was beginning to feel uncomfortable, really. Not to mention the twinge of guilt that she'd hidden this from him for so long. But before, she hadn't known he'd gotten that serum injected. She hadn't known his stance on Lessers, really... and she'd just been afraid. She knew if her parents had known, she would have ended up in Adanac so, so much sooner.
"I don't even know any more..." she continued. "About... anything. I fought crime. I fought it, I didn't commit it! And they still took me to a prison... The world's largest prison. But still a prison."

He listened carefully, nodding. "Yeah. That's the government for ya. Don't matter what you do, if they don't like your kind, they hate you too. I probably shoulda told you too, but...I'm a little ashamed of why I did it. I mean, I got mine to compete with any who'd try to stop me. Not that I'm not a criminal here. Then again, everyone here technically is. Just for who they are."
He shook his head. "Really not all that bad though. We've got our house, no bills to pay; government pays for everything. Ironically. No curfew, either. So we pretty much have free reign if nothing else. Besides, with a lower population, there's bound to be fewer assholes, right?"

Hannah couldn't help but chuckle at what he said. "Yeah," she said. "A lot fewer assholes. Though I expect it'd still be around the same percentage... bitchy thing, percentages." The girl sighed, sitting down in the nearest chair.
"Man, I feel bad for Alex and Nichole..." she murmured. "They were my team, y'know? We'd fight together, solve stuff together... But I was the only one with powers. The only one that got dragged here. So I guess they're just sorta... Alone, now." Hannah sort of stared down, into her coffee. She wondered if she'd ever get the chance to see them again... She just hoped to whatever was up there, if there was anything up there, that it wasn't here.

He nodded. "Yeah. I didn't really leave anyone behind but you." Okay, so he'd liked Nichole when they were younger, but that just evolved into a joke. But they were still pretty good friends. Not that he was sure she considered him a friend after the connection was made between him and Viper.
He sighed, shaking off the thoughts. "Well, in that sense, there are humans out there that are just like us here in Adanac. Prisoners in their own respects. I guess in one way or another, we're all prisoners..."

Hannah grinned half-heartedly, her unnaturally sharp canines glinting in the dim light of the kitchen. They were somewhat stained from the coffee, not their usually pearly white. Hannah had to admit, even if she had hated her dentist and even if he did wonder about the sharpness of her teeth, he'd made sure they were perfectly clean.
"Wolfy doesn't like being cooped up," she said. "But Wolfy's just gonna have to get over it. I think that's what made me give myself away, in the end. The mixture of claustrophobia and the moon cycle just sorta..." The girl trailed off, frowning. She didn't really feel like talking about it. "Well, here's hoping you never have to see me like that."

"Wolfy ain't the only one," he said, cracking a mischievous smile. "Why do you think I was rarely ever home?" He finished his coffee. "So, I got nothin' planned today. Anything in mind?"

Hannah thought for a moment. "I guess maybe I could patr-- explore a bit," she murmured, eyes turning to look out the window. She didn't really want to fight today. Not after last night... or was it a few nights ago? But Hannah's sense of justice was still there, strong as ever if not stronger, and she knew that if she wanted to be able to fight next week or even tomorrow, she was going to have to figure out the layout of this city and where the most crime went on.
"Say... do they bring your clothes with you when they bring you here? If I went up to my room would my clothes be in my dresser?"

He nodded silently. "Yeah. Good idea; this place is like every major city in the country smashed into one. Only thing exactly the same is our mansion. And empty as it is, this place creeps me out sometimes."
He chuckled. "I really don't know how that works, but yeah. At least, that's how it worked for me. Everything yours is here. But Mom and Dad's room, the staff rooms, are all empty."

Hannah nodded, looking satisfied with the answer. "Good," she said, giving a ghost of a smile as she turned her head in the direction of the stairs where her room would be. She nearly shuddered at the thought of going back up there. "Then my suit'll be there..."
The girl stood, setting her half-finished coffee down before making her way upstairs. She knew she probably had an issue, if, even now, she wanted to continue her little "legacy". But she didn't really care. Hannah was the She-Wolf, and not even this was going to derail her.
