Dusk walked down the street. It'd been maybe half an hour to an hour, but he had a lead on his guy. His aura was particularly dark, as was his expression. He could taste blood already.
He headed to the last reported place the guy had been seen. He'd hurt Lynn. And Dusk would not stand for that. For that...the guy must pay. With his very existence. He likes to hurt people? I'll give him hurt...

Aislynn had been told to stay at Dusk's home.
It was such a shame she wasn't a very good listener.
Even after all that had happened, she knew better than to let Dusk go out by himself, especially when he was angry. She had a feeling he was going to need her, even if he didn't think so. Even if she detested fighting, she would be willing to scrap with Mr. Knife-Fingers if it meant helping him.
He really was putting her through a rollar coaster of emotions. Too bad she didn't feel like getting off at the moment.
She was following him in her bobcat form, letting its lean body help her leap from tree limb to tree limb. She was light and graceful, a predator, and so the chances of Dusk hearing her were slim to none.
She just hoped he wouldn't need her.

Kevin stood, back leaned against a building. He was feeling very good about himself, but not because of the sex he'd just gotten. He'd never really felt the need for that sort of thing, but seeing someone writhe in pain filled him with the same sort of glee a small child felt at Christmas. God, he loved his job.
He glanced over at Markus, who was watching a squirrel a bit away. Which was good. Kevin didn't want to look like he was with his brother unless he really needed him. With a yawn, the Lesser turned and began to carve into the building, blade-finger making a sound not unlike nails on a chalkboard when it scraped across the concrete.

Dusk heard the sound and ran to the source, almost sure it was his guy. He looked at him when he was close enough. Dark hair, dark eyes, knife fingers. He gripped the gun and stepped over to him, not paying much mind to the guy staring at the squirrel.
"Hey, Knife-fingers," he said, his voice dark. "I hear you like raping innocent girls. So give me ONE good reason why I shouldn't kick your sorry ass right now." As he spoke, the man's shadow slowly worked its way up, engulfing his ankles.

Aislynn nearly missed her last jump.
The sound of nails on a chalkboard interupted her concentration, sending her poor cat ears into a world of pain. Her body twisted in an effort to morph out of feline form, to save her ears, but Aislynn willed herself to stay like that. She couldn't let Dusk see her, and she especially couldn't let that guy see her.
She dug her nails into the tree as she perched on one of the limbs, her eyes watching the scene below. She prayed to whatever god was up there for... A lot of things, most of them various outcomes to this battle.

Kevin turned as he heard someone approach, someone... he recognized somewhat. Hadn't that person been one of the Antidote that had captured Markus and himself? Oh, that was rich. Kevin grinned smugly, dark eyes glinting.
"Hey, Knife-fingers, I hear you like raping innocent girls. So give me ONE good reason why I shouldn't kick your sorry ass right now."
"Is there a problem, officer?" the Lesser asked, practically spitting out the last word. "I assure you, I have no idea what you're talking about. Now, if I could just go back to being bored out of my skull, I would really appreciate it..."

"I'm not one of those, anymore," he hissed. The shadow crept its way up, other shadows starting to twitch, then move vigorously as Dusk's anger rose. "Don't pull that bullshit with me. Young girl. Mid twenties. Silver hair." The shadow passed the man's knees, working its way up to his waist. "You fucked the wrong girl, Salad-shooter."

Aislynn winced as both men snarled at each other, though the knife-fingers guy was rather calm about his insults. But she could see how it affected Dusk, and she could tell, by the way he responded, that he had only succeeded in making him madder. That wasn't a very good thing... A mad Dusk was a dangerous Dusk.
She dug her claws deeper into the tree, tail swishing. She knew she should have been upset by Dusk's little 'fucked the wrong girl' comment, but she just couldn't find it in her heart to push away the fear to make way for anger. Not when he was like this.

Kevin shrugged, looking down at the shadow with what could only be called mild annoyance. This man was starting to lose his fun factor. After looking around, as if someone else might walk in on the two of them, Kevin shrugged again, raised a hand, and snapped two bladed fingers, making a resounding *clink*ing noise. It was almost as if he was calling for someone...
"Well, if you say there's a problem, then I suppose there's a problem," he said grimly, dark eyes glinting with the same danger they had shown just before he'd scarred the silver-haired woman in more ways then one.

Markus was about six to ten feet away, squatted to look at a squirrel. Then, he heard the all-too-familiar *click* sound. His call to action. He stood to his feet, showing just how tall of a man he was.
"Damn straight there's a problem," Dusk hissed as the shadow moved up to the man's stomach, then chest...WHAM! The shadow, and Dusk's gun, dropped to the ground as Dusk flew a few feet.
Dusk used his power to soften his landing to see who'd tackled him. Well, ran into him. He stood up to see the man snap the shotgun across his knee. But Dusk was too pissed to care that he gave up a whole foot and a hundred pounds.
"Oh look, he's got a pet, too. Guess I'll go through him first. C'mon, Boyfriend. Wanna dance?"
Markus growled and threw a punch at Dusk's face. "NO HURT BROTHER..." Dusk turned his head, converting the energy from the blow into strength along with softening the blow. He threw a punch of equal strength at Markus's jaw.
The trading of blows went on for several minutes, neither man flinching. Then, Dusk was staggered by a kick to the stomach. Markus tossed him back, and he crumbled on the sidewalk.
"No. Markus no want dance...MARKUS WANT KILL!"

"No. Markus no want dance...MARKUS WANT KILL!"
Those words shattered what little resolve Aislynn had.
She had tried to stay back, to just sit and watch the battle as it happened. She knew Dusk wouldn't be too happy if she just appeared out of no where, not after he had told her to stay back, but she just couldn't do this anymore. She couldn't watch him get ripped to shreds by that monster of a man.
"Don't touch him!" The young woman's voice was a mixture of a human screech and a feline's snarl. She was afraid for him, but she was also bordering on anger. She hit the ground, human, and felt her nails start to elongate.
Well, that was something new.

Kevin grinned almost as wide as he could as soon as Markus hit Dusk like a train hitting the damsel in distress. He stepped away, just slighly, back enough so that he could watch the action safely. This was gold. This was gold.
When Aislynn jumped down, clawed and angry, he was only mildly surprised. He gave her a smirk and a wink, waving his claws in her direction, as if saying hello to an old friend or an old flame.

Dusk's aura was nowhere near as dark as it was at first, but it was still moderately dark. Upon hearing Lynn's voice, he jumped to his feet, as if he'd found a second wind. He stepped between her and the big guy. His stomach hurt, but he'd live.
Suddenly, Markus's shadow started to overtake him, crawling up his ankle, then went to drag him underground--but couldn't. He was just too big. Too strong.
Dusk attempted a final move. He was going to put his fist through the big man's chest. But he was too fast, and just pushed him down like he was a rag-doll. Dusk felt a large hand on his head, and next thing he knew, he was flying through the air, and his power only softened the landing a little. He was hurt, bruised, and there was a nice bloody trail left by him sliding across the sidewalk on his back. His ribs were cracked, his back torn to shreds. His aura was now nothing more than a wispy little thing.
Dusk was dying...

To her surprise, Dusk stood right back up and leapt in the battle for more. Aislynn watched with horror as he was beaten, slung around, and then tossed as if he was nothing more than a used up toy. Her eyes with wide, and she screamed out his name. Without thinking, she ran to his side, placing a hand on his chest.
"Oh God," she choked, placing her other hand on his face, "Oh, God, no. Dusk, no. Please." There were tears burning her eyes. Fear squeezed her heart. She couldn't lose her only friend. Not now. "Hang on, please..."
The dog tag he had placed around her neck pressed against his chest, the cold metal reminding her it was there. She snatched it off, wrapping the metal around his wrist.
And prayed that there was enough good luck to last.

Kevin looked on as the man was tossed like a ragdoll down the street. If there was anything Markus was good for, it was DEFINATELY this. Besides, Kevin liked to watch the brute work his magic. Especially when it came to the flames. Speaking of which...
"Markus!" he called, watching as the silver-haired beauty ran to her boyfriend's side. Well, it didn't matter where she was, anyway. He didn't want her squealing to anyone else. "Brother... finish them."
