She smiled gently, "Do that. Because I'm sure that you'd hate to come home and find your couch shredded." Aislynn grinned down at him, flashing her cat-like fangs, and drew his hand to her lips. "Because don't doubt me when I say that I would."
Okay, so, odds are she wouldn't do such a thing. But he didn't need to know that, now did he? Nope. All he needed to know was that she was a cat lady who wasn't afraid to extend her claws if need be - even though she really hated violence.

He chuckled, ignoring the slight pain in his ribs. "I don't think you'd do that," he teased. "You're too sweet. Besides, you slept on it, so you should know. That is one comfy-ass couch." He put his hand on her cheek, looking into her eyes. He just stared, a smile creeping across his face.

Well, darn. He had been able to see through her bluff.
She leaned into his touch, her eyes closing, "It... it is rather comfy." She murmured in agreement, placing her hand over his. Her fingers slid between his, and she kissed his fingertips gently, "And I would really had to ruin it." Aislynn glanced down at his face, and was surprised to see that was looking at him.
She looked away, her face turning pink.

He smiled, yanking the tubes and needles out while she wasn't looking. He sat up and stood to his feet, going to the restroom, and came back in what he'd been wearing hours ago. He walked over and wrapped his arms around her, kissing her on the cheek. "I hate this place. What do ya say we go home?"

Aislynn was surprised when he practically jumped to his feet and headed to the restroom. She stood from the chair, wringing her hands slightly. She hoped he was okay. He had moved pretty fast for a guy that had just gotten the crap beat out of him.
He stepped out of the restroom, wrapping his arm around her, and kissed her cheek gently. She relaxed against him, looked up at his face. "You're still hurt," Aislynn reminded him, placing her hand gently on his upper abdomen, "You shouldn't even be walking."

"I know. I shouldn't be," he said. "How 'bout I rest when I get home? No fighting, no killing cops, I won't even overuse the remote control. Deal?" He winked. He kept his arm around her and slowly started walking toward the door. "Did I mention how much I hate hospitals?"

Aislynn wrapped her arms around him gently, as if her tiny body could give him any aid in walking. "Deal," she agreed, looking up at him. The pair started towards the door, and Aislynn opened it, allowing him to exit first. He mentioned hating hospitals and she shuddered slightly, nodding.
"I... don't care too much for them, either." She agreed, leading him towards the elevator.

He walked out, into the elevator and eventually outside. He walked her home, just loving the feeling of the two of them being together like this. Sore or not, it felt so...right. He just hoped she'd realize how he really felt about her from his actions. He wasn't good at expressing this kind of emotion.

Aislynn walked with him, keeping her arms wrapped around his body. She didn't want him to fall, nor did she want any of his wounds to reopen. She wanted to keep him in one piece, after all. She knew, hoped, that he cared for her like she did him. He had fought for her, after all...
She rested her head against his chest as they approached his home. Aislynn hurried up the stairs to open the door, not wanting him to have to wait to get inside. Once they were on the porch, she guided him towards his room.

He chuckled at how she was acting. "I'm not completely crippled, Lynn," he said with an obviously teasing tone. Then, when they got to his bedroom, he sat on the bed, and his tone got serious. "Thanks. You know....you saved my life back there. When I got up after he knocked me down the first time....I felt drained. But...hearing your voice, that gave me a second wind. And then what you did for me afterwards....I can't thank you enough."

Her eyes softened, and she reached over to take his face in her hands. Her blue eyes roamed his face, then locked with his eyes. "Don't thank me. Please, don't. I got'cha hurt. It was the least I could do." Hesitantly, Aislynn leaned over, touched her lips to his softly, gently. Then she pulled back.
"I care about you, Dusk. I wasn't going to let you die."

"No. You didn't." He returned the kiss just as gently. "He hurt you. I felt I had to do something about it. You tried to stop me but I didn't listen. I know you wouldn't. That's why you deserve the thanks. Lynn...I care about you too. So much..." He lay back on the bed.

Aislynn placed a hand under his head and another on his chest, tenderly making sure that he was able to relax without being hurt. Once he was lying down, she withdrew her hands, but not before her eyes landed on the brand in her arm.
She knew she had to try to tell him who - what - she was. After all, he had done so much for her, and she knew who he used to be. He knew practically nothing about her. Perhaps it was time that she remedied that.
"Dusk, I think..." Aislynn glanced down at her hands; her fingers were twitching nervously, "I mean, you've told me so much about you, I think that... You need to know a bit more about me. If you want to..."
She was nervous about spilling, that much was obvious. But not just because she was afraid her father would leap out of no where, but because she really wasn't too proud of where she came from. Aislynn was a special case, after all.

"I'm here when you're ready to talk," he murmured. "Though, I'll feel the same way about you no matter what. And I know enough about you to know I'm never gunna let you down." He smiled.

Aislynn hesitated, but then offered out her right arm, letting it rest so the inside was pointed up, at the ceiling. Her brand, reading Aislynn01, was displayed for all to see, though the only person around to even glance at it was Dusk. She took a deep breath, shuddering slightly.
"I was created, not born. My father was a scientist, and I don't think even he knew who my mother was. I was completely normal for the first few years of my life, much to his disappointment. He had played with my DNA, y'see. It's why I'm part feline emotionally as well as just physically." She glanced up at him, hesitation written all over her face.
